FAQ
What does COHO mean?
‘COlorado HOme’, coined by Lydia.
Runner up: ‘Red Moon Elk Little Big Bucks Broken Arrow Lodge.’
What is carved in the mantle?
It is a secret revealed to our guests only.
Why rent at a discount to “invited friends?”
If you are accessing this site, you are probably an “invited friend”, someone we have specifically contacted with this special offer. We want to share our home with our “invited friends.” You get a chalet at half price, we get the finest guests and hopefully return visitors hooked on COHO. We have recently begun to rent to “friends of friends” on a trial basis. If you vouch for them, we invite them!
Aren’t you worried about wear and tear?
No. In fact, we want you to help us soften the saddle. An empty house is a sad thing. COHO is designed for family fun, relaxation and rejuvenation; it is not a museum.
What possessed you to buy a house in Breckenridge?
Insanity. Investment. Adventure. An expensive place to store our skis, bikes & paintings. The chance to create an ideal vacation spot that really works.
Do you have help managing?
Yes, a local home manager, a ski bum hot tub technician, a plowing service and an excellent housekeeper.
Do I need to bring linens and clean?
All linens are provided. All beds are made. We ask that you strip all the used linens and bring them to the laundry room when you depart. All laundry is done on site and this really helps the housekeeper manage the loads. Other than that, leave the place tidy and safe, but do not clean!
What items are off limits at COHO?
Only a few items marked and hidden away are private. Everything else friend, is for your use from snow shoes, sleds, bikes, binoculars, picnic supplies, and walkie talkies to guide books and maps.
